About the Program

The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is a seven-semester, English-taught programme covering international politics, international economic relations, and international law. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to questions of globalisation, European integration, and the cross-border behaviour of companies and non-governmental organisations. The first three semesters build foundations in business administration, economics, and social sciences. The fourth and fifth semesters deepen knowledge in key areas. The sixth semester is an internship or semester abroad in a political organisation, company, or non-profit setting. The final semester is devoted to a Bachelor's thesis with a strong applied focus, supported by cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions. Student-organised activities such as KleMUN (Kleve Model United Nations) and KleMAU (Kleve Model African Union) complement classroom learning. The programme begins in the winter semester and is based at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve, Germany.
