Bachelor in Infotronic Systems Engineering, BSc

Kleve, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The Infotronic Systems Engineering Bachelor's programme trains engineers to work across the full range of modern engineering systems that combine hardware and software. The programme draws on computer and data science, electrical engineering, and signal processing to prepare graduates for roles involving sensor technology, information collection and transfer, data processing, and automatic analysis. The name reflects the fusion of information and electronic engineering. The programme spans seven semesters, starting in the winter semester. The first four semesters establish foundations in electrical engineering, computer science, and mathematics. Later semesters provide in-depth study, with elective courses covering areas such as artificial intelligence, computer security, drones, and business administration. An interdisciplinary project allows students to investigate a topic of their choice in depth. In the sixth semester, students choose between studying abroad or completing a practical semester in industry. The seventh semester closes with the Bachelor's thesis, a presentation, and an open discussion. All instruction is in English, reflecting the programme's international orientation. The programme is offered at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kamp-Lintfort.
