The programme’s distinctive feature is its practical focus on wearable sensor technologies, giving students hands-on experience with real-world devices and data processing. It is structured over two years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent), beginning with foundational modules on sensor technologies, ethics, and data analytics, progressing to system design and research methods, and culminating in a dissertation that integrates the skills acquired. It is aimed at healthcare professionals, engineers, or IT specialists who already hold a relevant undergraduate degree and wish to deepen their understanding of digital health tools and their application in clinical settings. Graduates gain the knowledge to develop, assess and implement innovative health informatics solutions across hospitals, research organisations and technology firms.
