Geodetic Engineering is a full-time, English-taught Master's programme at the University of Bonn for graduates with a background in Geodesy and Geoinformation or related fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Geosciences, or Electrical Engineering. The programme spans four semesters and is structured around three research profiles: Mobile Sensing and Robotics; Geodetic Earth System Science and Data Analysis; and Geoinformation and Spatial Development. Each student selects one area as a major and a second as a minor, with the curriculum flexible enough to allow either a concentrated focus or a broader spread of topics. The first semester covers mandatory advanced modules in Coordinate Systems, GNSS, Statistics and Adjustment Theory, Geoinformation Systems, and Earth Observation, with an individual study plan addressing any gaps from prior education. In the second and third semesters, students deepen their knowledge through major and minor profile modules and engage in two project modules tied to current research topics. The final semester is devoted to the Master's thesis. Students participate in active research projects throughout their studies, and the programme qualifies graduates for entry into PhD programmes. It is offered at the University of Bonn in Bonn, Germany.
