Graduates from the Formazione Insegnanti programme at the Università di Catania go on to teach in secondary schools, having trained through the 5, 24, or 60 CFU formative routes or the Alta Scuola per la Formazione di Insegnanti.

The Università di Catania offers multiple pathways for teacher formation, including initial training through master’s-level courses for secondary school teaching, and continuing education for in-service teachers. The Alta Scuola per la Formazione di Insegnanti coordinates these efforts, providing structured pathways for both general and special education teachers. This includes the 5 CFU, 24 CFU, and 60 CFU formative courses, as well as courses focused on special education support. Each pathway is aligned with the specific classes of competition outlined in the DPR 19 of 14 February 2016, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the regulatory requirements for teaching in Italy.
