Bachelor in English Track Program Business Economics

Saitama, Japan Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Tokyo International University's Business Economics program is a four-year bachelor's degree taught entirely in English at the university's Saitama campus, with entry points in April and September. It is one of three E-Track majors, alongside Digital Business & Innovation and International Relations, and it places students from one hundred countries in shared English-language classrooms. No prior Japanese ability is required to enroll, though students may take Japanese courses ranging from beginner to advanced during their studies, and scholarships that reduce tuition fees by as much as 100 percent are available to qualifying applicants. A business economics degree typically combines core economics theory, such as microeconomics and macroeconomics, with applied business subjects including finance, accounting, statistics, and management. Students learn to analyze markets, interpret economic data, and evaluate business decisions using quantitative methods, building a foundation that spans both the theoretical study of economic systems and the practical operation of firms. Coursework often includes case studies and group projects that connect economic principles to real business problems. Graduates of business economics programs commonly enter careers in finance, banking, consulting, corporate strategy, or public policy analysis, and many continue into graduate study in economics, business, or related fields. Studying the subject over four years in Japan, and specifically in the Saitama and greater Tokyo area, gives students exposure to one of Asia's largest economies while completing coursework entirely in English.
