The Double Bachelor's Degree in Nautical Sciences is an 8-semester programme offered jointly by Hochschule Wismar in Rostock, Germany, and PoliMARIN Semarang in Indonesia. The programme begins in the winter semester and costs 2,400 EUR per year. Upon completion, graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Hochschule Wismar and an Indonesian degree from PoliMARIN Semarang. Students spend the first semesters at PoliMARIN in Semarang, covering foundational subjects including physics, mathematics, English, technical studies, and chemistry in the first semester. The subsequent four semesters at PoliMARIN address core nautical subjects: navigation, scientific work, maritime and business English, informatics, emergency management, manoeuvring and ship handling, human resources, and economics. The seventh semester is held at Hochschule Wismar in Rostock-Warnemünde, Germany. Two semesters of sea internship are integrated into the programme. The final semester, during which students write their bachelor's thesis, can be completed at either PoliMARIN or Hochschule Wismar.
