About the Program

The doctoral thesis '日中両国における取り立て表現の対照研究 ―「だけ」「ばかり」「しか」と“只”“浄”を中心に’ was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Tokyo University of Foreign Studies on March 25, 1996. The thesis, supervised by eight professors, including the chief examiner Professor Ishii Hiroshi, investigated comparative expressions in Japanese and Chinese. Key examiners included Professor Koji Unosawa and Professor Kiyonobu Mikata, who brought their expertise in linguistics and comparative studies to the evaluation. The thesis was published as a PDF on the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies website. The committee, led by Professor Hiroshi Ishii evaluated the work and graded it based on academic merit.
