Bachelor in Digital Technology and Management (BSc), full-time

Digital Technology and Management is a 7-semester bachelor's programme at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (OTH) in Weiden in der Oberpfalz, Germany. The programme is taught entirely in English and is designed for students who want to combine a deep understanding of digital technologies with solid management knowledge and intercultural competencies. Intakes are available for both the winter and summer semesters. The first four semesters cover foundational subjects across three broad areas. On the technology side, students study IoT technology, sensors for smart systems, communication technology, production technology, and product management. The management side covers business administration, accounting and finance, digital marketing, and e-commerce. Interdisciplinary modules include project management, agile methods, logistics, and industrial engineering. Language and intercultural skills — including English for Academic Purposes and intercultural communication — are also integrated from the start, along with elective options such as international summer and winter schools. Semesters five through seven shift toward applied and specialised work. Students complete an internship, then take modules in innovation and technology lifecycle management, business simulation, ethics in business and technology, and entrepreneurial projects. A research project and specialisation electives — for example in Data Science, International Management, Health Care, or Digital Factory — allow students to concentrate on their area of interest. The programme closes with a bachelor's thesis. From the internship semester onward, some components can be completed in German alongside English. The programme is offered at OTH's campus in Weiden in der Oberpfalz, Germany.
