Introduction

Students at Allegheny College shape their education around their interests and build connections through campus life in Meadville, Pennsylvania. This programme prepares students for careers in media production, storytelling, and cultural analysis. Students study how media shapes society through courses in journalism, film, theatre, and digital content. They gain hands-on experience using industry-standard video and audio equipment. The major requires 46 credits, distributed across foundational courses, upper-level seminars, and a research-intensive Senior Comp. The Senior Comp serves as a capstone project combining independent research and creative work.

Graduates enter roles such as on-air personalities, grants management specialists, health communications specialists, marketing leads, and media producers.
