Bachelor in Classical Music

The Classical Music program at the Prins Claus Conservatorium is designed for aspiring musicians who are passionate about their craft. This full-time bachelor’s degree spans four years and is offered in both Dutch and English. Students will immerse themselves in a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes performance, teaching, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them for a successful career in music.

Throughout the program, students will focus on their main instrument or voice, gaining extensive stage experience through performances in orchestras, ensembles, and solo recitals. The curriculum includes practical training, theoretical classes, and opportunities for internships, allowing students to develop their skills in a real-world context. Additionally, students will learn how to teach music, enhancing their understanding of their instrument and preparing them for diverse career paths.

Graduates of the Classical Music program can pursue various careers, including performing musicians in orchestras, chamber ensembles, or as soloists. Many graduates also teach at music schools or offer private lessons. The skills acquired during the program are transferable across different roles in the music industry, enabling graduates to adapt to various opportunities, whether in performance, education, or music entrepreneurship.
