Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering covers the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure such as buildings, roads, bridges, and water systems that make up the built environment. Coursework includes structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, construction materials, fluid mechanics, and surveying, along with construction management and project planning topics. Students learn how loads and forces act on structures, how soil conditions affect foundation design, and how construction materials such as concrete and steel behave under different conditions, applying mechanics and materials science to practical design problems. Laboratory work involves testing construction materials, while computer-aided design tools are used throughout coursework to develop and refine structural and infrastructure designs. Many programs also cover transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and environmental considerations relevant to construction projects, reflecting the breadth of modern civil engineering practice.
