Bachelor in BUT - Mesures physiques

The BUT Mesures physiques (Physical Measurements) is a three-year bachelor of technology programme training students to apply physics and instrumentation techniques in scientific and industrial contexts. Typical subject areas include measurement theory and metrology, optics and photonics, electronics and signal processing, data acquisition systems, materials characterisation, and laboratory management. Students develop practical skills in operating and calibrating instruments, analysing data, and maintaining measurement systems. Graduates work as measurement and instrumentation technicians, quality control specialists, R&D laboratory assistants, and technical support officers in sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and scientific research. This programme is delivered at the I.U.T d'Orsay, affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay, in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. All teaching is in French, tuition is 178 EUR per year, and the programme starts in September, running over 3 years.
