This programme focuses on economic theory, policy, and real-world applications with an emphasis on critical analysis of societal issues. Students explore topics such as economic justice, market organization, and global economic transitions. The curriculum integrates liberal arts perspectives and quantitative methods to develop analytical reasoning skills. It prepares students for graduate study and careers in law, public policy, and research.

The Bachelor of Arts in Economics requires completion of a liberal arts core, a major-specific course sequence, and one of four concentrations. Students must fulfill WCore requirements or join the Honors College to meet liberal arts education credits.

Graduates enter roles in law, public policy research, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and economic analysis.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The programme requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submission of official transcripts. Additional documents include a personal statement and two letters of recommendation.

The programme totals about 120 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, four-year degree. For international students, tuition is above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 69% of applicants.

Westminster’s residential campus has a community feel in Salt Lake City, Utah. Students can join events outside class, including Casino Night, Game Day tailgates, and art and resource fairs on the Commons.
