Graduates are qualified to pursue advanced study in biological sciences or enter research, healthcare, or environmental fields. The programme emphasizes laboratory-based learning and requires a strong foundation in molecular, cellular, and ecological biology. Students complete a sequence of core courses and advanced electives with a focus on scientific inquiry and data analysis. The B.S. degree includes additional science cognate courses to broaden training in the natural sciences.

Focus areas include Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution, Biological Diversity, Organismal Biology, Environmental Science, Neuroscience.

The Bachelor of Science in Biology requires fourteen courses, including three core biology courses, one year of introductory chemistry, five 300-level biology courses, and four science cognate courses. Students must also complete two required assessments: BIOL 300 and BIOL 301.

Graduates pursue careers in research laboratories, healthcare professions, environmental consulting, and graduate programs in the biological sciences.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Admission requires submission of transcripts, standardized test scores if applicable, and a personal statement. International students must also provide English proficiency test results.

The programme totals about 14 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, four-year programme. For international students, tuition is well above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 17% of applicants.
