The Bachelor's Programme in English starts with a study trip to York, UK, in the second semester — an immersion into English literature and culture even before you move on to the more advanced courses in the final year. You'll explore the English language in depth, gaining insight into its structure, literature, and cultural contexts. This broad introduction covers British and American cultural history, and the English language and literature courses are taught by professors with native English proficiency.

In the second year, you can choose courses in a variety of fields, including courses in Norwegian for international students and a course in Norwegian Society and Culture.
