The ARCHIVES & CINÉMA DOUBLE DIPLÔME is a 2-year master programme offered jointly by the University of Udine and the University of Lille, focusing on the theoretical, historical, and applied study of cinematic heritage and archival practices. The first year is spent at the University of Udine, and the second year at the University of Lille. The programme includes specialized training in film preservation and digital humanities, as well as internships at institutions like the Cinémathèque royale de Bruxelles, the Cinémathèque française, and the Archives départementales du Nord. The programme features laboratories such as the 'La Camera Ottica' film and video restoration lab in Udine, and the Centre d’étude des arts contemporains (CEAC) in Lille.

Students in the programme will gain practical experience in conservation, exposure, and study of cinematic objects, documents, and ephemeral media. It also offers advanced training in digital tools and infrastructures for film conservation and post-production, as well as the study of film historiography through digital humanities methods.
