The programme emphasizes applying mathematical methods to real-world problems through modeling and analysis. Students develop skills in creating and interpreting mathematical models using computational tools. The curriculum integrates proof-based reasoning with practical problem-solving techniques. Courses focus on statistical, probabilistic, and differential modeling approaches.

Focus areas include Statistical Modeling, Probabilistic Modeling, Operations Research, Time Series Analysis, Fourier Analysis, Mathematical Modeling.

The degree requires four modeling courses and two additional 400-level courses, one of which must be Real Analysis. A total of 120 credits are required for the degree.

Graduates pursue roles in data analysis, operations research, and quantitative modeling in industry and government.

Students must complete MATH 145, MATH 213, MATH 220 or MATH 221, MATH 300, MATH 395, and CS 145 by the end of their sophomore year. Admission to the major requires meeting these course requirements.

The programme totals about 120 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, four years. For international students, tuition is well above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 17% of applicants.
