Applied Biotechnology is a three-semester Master's programme at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences that combines technical expertise in biotechnology with practical skills in data analysis, research management, and quality management. Each semester carries 30 ECTS credits, and the curriculum covers bioprocess engineering and protein purification, cell biology, food production analytics, statistics, quality and research management, and bioeconomy and technology assessment. In the summer semester, students choose three elective courses from across the university's broader offerings — including business, engineering, and natural sciences — allowing them to tailor their studies to their interests. German language classes are also available as an elective. Starting in the Winter semester, the programme culminates in a Master's thesis in the third semester.
