Denison’s campus sits on The Hill in Granville, Ohio, a setting with arts and athletics facilities, dining spaces, and opportunities to join student organizations. The major requires 36 credit hours across three core courses, five area-specific courses, and one additional elective. Students must take one course focused on Africa or the African diaspora outside the United States. Senior research is optional and can count toward the elective requirement.

Graduates pursue careers in law, education, journalism, public policy, and cultural institutions with a focus on racial equity and social justice.
