Advanced Lean Sigma Quality (Black Belt)

Graduates are recognised as Six Sigma Black Belts and can take on roles such as quality manager, process-improvement consultant or continuous-improvement leader in sectors including manufacturing, healthcare and services. The qualification also satisfies the body of knowledge required for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Black Belt certification, allowing further professional registration.

The certificate is delivered entirely online over one academic year on a part-time basis. Study is organised into four mandatory modules – Statistics, Quality Management, Statistical Process Control and Experimental Design – followed by a six-sigma Black Belt project. Weekly live lectures are recorded for flexible access and each student receives a project mentor from ATU Sligo.
