Master in Sustainability and Smart Building Technology (SSBT)

This Master's programme addresses technology and sustainability in the property sector, focusing on how buildings can be made more energy-efficient and digitally equipped for the needs of owners, managers, and users. The curriculum covers smart building technologies, sustainable infrastructure, the Internet of Things, energy management, Building Information Modelling, project management, real estate economics, and ESG regulatory frameworks. The programme spans four semesters across two years, with intake in both winter and summer semesters. The first semester introduces smart building technologies, IT architecture, and digital business models. The second semester deepens project management skills and covers PropTech best practices, construction technology, and facility management. The third semester addresses energy creation and management, asset management, and sustainability impact monitoring. The fourth semester is centred on a practical application project and the Master's thesis. Graduates are prepared for roles including Project Manager of Digitalisation, Innovation Manager, Chief Digital Officer, and Manager of Technological Infrastructure, as well as positions across housing associations, property management firms, project developers, and real estate service providers.
