Bachelor in Security studies

The Polish Air Force Academy offers a bachelor's programme in Security studies, delivered in English, with an Erasmus exchange option covering one to two semesters. Civilian full-time and extramural first-degree courses within the field provide specialisations in the safety and security of airports, aviation security management, protection of persons and property, and crisis management. Civilian second-degree courses add specialisations in the safety and security of airports and security management in aviation organisations. The field of study builds a foundation in social and legal aspects of safety, alongside state security and defence, with particular emphasis on safety and security in aviation. Coursework covers airport safety procedures, flight safety and aviation security, the functioning of civil and state aviation, air traffic management and safety, and air and airport services, including flight and airport rescue operations. Students in the National Security department gain knowledge and practical skills tied to work in state air safety, an area that combines regulatory knowledge with operational training specific to aviation contexts. Because the Polish Air Force Academy trains both civilian and military personnel, the programme draws on institutional expertise in aviation operations alongside standard academic instruction in security studies. Graduates from this field are positioned for careers in airport operations, aviation security management, civil and state aviation authorities, and organisations responsible for protecting people and property in aviation settings. The Erasmus option allows exchange students to join for a shorter period, either one or two semesters, experiencing the aviation-security curriculum without committing to the full degree track.
