Master in Language and literature studies (Spanish)

Also delivered in English by the Philological School of Higher Education in Wrocław, in Wrocław, Poland, this master's program in Spanish Language and Literature Studies runs over two years, or four semesters. It is offered in three specialisations: Specialised Translation Studies covering Polish-Spanish and Spanish-Polish, Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and a general specialisation allowing free choice among available courses with no fixed professional profile. Seminars draw on linguistics, applied linguistics, literary studies, and culture studies. Both full-time and part-time formats are available. The full-time schedule involves fifteen weeks of regular classes per semester, typically scheduled across three days between Monday and Friday, with online registration each September for a chosen seminar package. The part-time schedule involves eight weekends of classes per semester, held Saturday and Sunday between eight in the morning and eight at night, supported by a distance education platform offering a wide range of online course options. The Specialised Translation track requires a good command of both Polish and Spanish, at a minimum of C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference. The curriculum combines compulsory core courses with optional practice- or research-oriented modules and extracurricular courses. Graduates of either format can continue to doctoral-level study or move into professional roles in translation or the wider language industry.
