Bachelor in International Program for Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is an interdisciplinary field that examines how societies can meet present economic and social needs without compromising environmental resources or the wellbeing of future generations. Undergraduate study in this area typically draws on environmental science, economics, public policy, sociology, and management, giving students a broad foundation for understanding issues such as climate change, resource management, renewable energy, poverty reduction, and sustainable business practices. Coursework often includes environmental policy, development economics, natural resource management, corporate social responsibility, and project or program design aimed at balancing growth with ecological and social considerations. This International Program for Sustainable Development is offered at the bachelor's level by Chang Jung Christian University, located in Southern Taiwan. The program is taught in English, allowing international undergraduate students to study sustainable development in Taiwan without first needing to learn Mandarin. As a bachelor's degree, it is intended for students entering directly from secondary education or equivalent qualifications, and typically combines general education requirements with a core curriculum focused on the environmental, economic, and social dimensions of development.
