Master in Information science

Information Science, offered as Computer Science and Information Technology, is a master's program taught entirely in English at Lodz University of Technology, in Lodz, Poland, over two years, with yearly tuition of 16000 PLN. The program represents one of the most popular and fast-developing fields of study, and students gain extensive skills in information systems design, software development and testing, and data processing and analysis, preparing them to solve complex technical problems within this fast-growing industry. At the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering, main subjects include advanced object programming in Java, computing methods and optimization, modelling and analysis of information systems, computational intelligence, advanced networking technology, and pervasive computing. At the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, subjects include multimedia databases, modern IT technologies and services, modelling and analysis of information systems, soft computing, sound processing, internet applications programming, modern programming techniques, programming of intelligent information systems, agile methods of project management, security of information systems, and modern content management techniques. Every student on the program has the opportunity to complete part of their studies at a university abroad. Specializations include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Information science as a discipline covers how information and data are organized, processed, and made useful through computing systems, and this program's blend of core computer science with data-focused and intelligent-systems coursework positions graduates for roles in software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and information systems design across a wide range of industries.
